ICGEB China RRC participated in the Second Business Forum Cuba Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Industries

On November 6, 2024, the ICGEB China RRC was invited to attend the "Second Business Forum Cuba Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Industries", this forum was hosted by the BioCubaFarma and co-organized by the Consulate General of the Republic of Cuba in Shanghai.The head of the RRC's research department attended the forum in Shanghai and discussed directions and ways of cooperation with representatives from Cuba's ICGEB.
The Centro de Ingeniería Genética y Biotecnología (CIGB) in Cuba is the liaison office of ICGEB in Cuba and participates in this forum as a member of BioCubaFarma.CIGB was established in 1986 and committed to developing drugs and vaccines for cancer, cardiovascular diseases, meningitis, and hepatitis. Two of its achievements have been implemented in China through technology transfer and collaborative approaches.CIGB and ICGEB have maintained a friendly cooperative relationship, and through the ICGEB scholarship program, Dr. Daylen from CIGB is about to visit the RRC as a visiting scholar.
